The Conference on Physics Teaching and Demonstration has been held annually since 1998 and will reach its 13th year in 2010. In recent years, it has successfully attracted approximately 400 aficionados and experts in each gathering, and has become a grand academic event among physics researchers in the nation.
To achieve the goal of heightening the efficacy of physics education via hands-on exercises and teaching demonstration, it focuses on the inquiry of the development and consequence of this domain, and offers a platform for the exchange of innovative approaches to physics education. With the aim to make physics teaching and learning more insightful, accessible and enjoyable, the Conference promotes to utilize resources, materials as well as multimedia at hand to develop teaching aids and lesson plans which help to connect knowledge of physics to life and practical use. Furthermore, it also encourages educators from K-12 to college level to engage in programs of in-service training and learning, with the hope to boost the quality of physics teaching.

To broaden the domestic research horizon, scholars from Mainland China or other foreign countries are also invited to share their pedagogical experiences and expertise since 2007.
